Buns, buns, buns...
I love my spices and chillies. Especially the Hae Bee Hiam (or Sambal Shrimp Paste). So while pumping petrol at Esso, and I saw this, I grabbed. Also, it was on offer: Buy 2 get 1 free...

While the bun tasted a bit artificial, the fillings inside were Omph oh So good. A bit sweeter than what you would expect from a sambal, it still got me my Hae Bee Hiam fix. There are two varieties: Sambal Shrimp Bun and the Sambal Ikan Bilis Bun. I prefer the latter as the ikan added more texture to the bun. Think it is available at Cheers, NTUC FairPrice and of course Esso. Oh Gardenia - You've done it again!
Go try and let me know if you like it too!

Fryo - best value for $ frozen yoghurt
Need I say more? Move over llao llao, this gets more money for your buck (but less varieties in terms of toppings).
At $1.80 (without toppings) or $2.20 (with one choice of toppings), it is super good. Personally, I prefer without any toppings as the ones they have do not go very well with this delicious dessert. There is now a new flavour - white grape! Tried it yesterday. A tad too sweet (why this week all the food maciam so sweet huh?!), but strong in flavour still, I should have stuck to the original flavour which is still da bomb!

We were around Changi City Point at Expo and was sick of the usual coffee place. Sandy and I chanced upon this place which is quite far away from the crowd, nearer to Max Pavillion side on the second floor.
If you want a relaxing place to chill and unwind, this is set in a garden setting with oh so comfy couches (if you manage to get them!). There is great coffee, dessert and some quick bites. We had one of the hand crafted tarts in a jar (non-bake) and grilled hot wings. Both tasted great! Highly recommended if you are wanting a quiet place to chit chat and catch up with friends.
