Monday Madness

Let's start the week with things that are fun that caught my eye:

1) Monday (Mundane) jokes

I know it sounds lame, but this facebook chatbot makes my day every Monday - with his jokes. It is called SG Bus Uncle, a chat bot that is supposed to be like your googlmap + bus arrival app + local humor added. Anyway, you can talk to him about other things using Singlish, but he may or may not understand the topics you are "driving" at; but trust me, he is learning every day. I don't use it personally for its intended purpose, as I find it's easier and faster to use the bus arrival app, but his jokes on Monday are quite funny. And when I mean funny, I am referring to, like you know, corny...haha.

For example ah...this one he just sent me earlier today:

"What kind of computer can sing song?

A Dell"

Good, right?

Ok, if you don't like this, or if you have a more atas taste when it comes to jokes; then you can leave right now...Hmpf.

2) A Reunion about ablutions...?

This is a photo of a Chinese class reunion for the class of '81. The folks here know each other apparently for more than 4 decades. So, the interesting bit is the Chinese wordings written on the banner. Read it, I dare you. And tell me what comes to mind immediately.

If you do not read Mandarin, it says, at first glance, something like "From peeing know you, and shitting makes our friendship even thicker". The thing is, the commas are missing. If they were placed appropriately, it should read, "From young know you, old already our friendship has become thicker".

Take away: Print bigger banners. Don't save on them commas.

3) And it's the MRT Spin-on-...

So, here's the thing. The unfortunate incident last week at Joo Koon, where our MRT trains collided, spun this very creative spinning game.

However, after today, they will need to add "Acts of God" - for the lightning strike that happened yesterday. (Heard some one was injured though.)

Very creative. And funny. Just look at how much space is given to "No delays"...at least, the designer gave it two spots...
